The Emmy-winning actress and her real estate investor husband, who have three sons together, are going their separate ways.
The pair have three sons, 10-year-old Oliver and 8-year-old twins John and Gustav. They were last photographed together with their kids at a Harlem Globetrotters game in Los Angeles almost a year ago, in February 2017.
Back in December, In Touch Weekly reported that their marriage was on the rocks and they had been "living separate lives for a while now." Julie and Scott "tried to keep it together for their three sons," added the source, but the marriage was "hanging by a thread."
In 2016, Scott didn't accompany Julie to the Emmy Awards. "We just had our anniversary on the day of the Emmys which was hilarious," she explained to PEOPLE about her husband's absence at the big event. "He's come every year, he's been so supportive and this year he was playing in a tennis tournament and I wasn't nominated as an individual so I said, 'What do you want to do on our anniversary?' I mean it's such an honor to be nominated and to go, but it's tough to be a purse holder."
When asked made their marriage last for a long time, the Claire Dunphy of ABC's sitcom "Modern Family" told Us Weekly, "We watch all these people get married and split up and go, 'Wait, did they get married after us or before us?' We outlast all these people. The answer: We're too tired to do anything else!"
The two-time Emmy-winning actress, who described herself as a "fair-to-middling wife," went on sharing about being a mom. "It isn't easy getting four males to sit down at a table," the 47-year-old star jokingly said. "They just drool and eat. They're like, 'I'm just going to walk back and forth, drop crap on the floor while I'm eating.' I'm like, 'Sit!' Gussy, he eats everything and he's hungry after. He's always eating so much!"
